HISTORY

The ancestors of this lineage were descents of Maharaja Vikramaditya Singh of Rewah. This Pawaidari was granted by Lal Saheb Prithivi Singh of Chandiya to his younger brother Kunwar Ahlad Singh. He got the title ‘Lal Saheb’ with 28 villages. When he reached Baderi, he built a fort on a mountain in Baderi and also situated the idol of his Isht devi and named that beautiful palace ‘Nand Mahal’. After many years, once a day his great-grandson Kunwar Ranmat Singh went out for hunting, he saw an elevated place in the mid of the village. He was attracted towards it, later on he came to know that there was a fortress which is under construction by the Lodhi family. He decided to capture it from them. So he attacked on Lodhis with his legion. Some claim that Ranmat Singh had some special blessings of goddess who guides and protects him so he alone killed hundreds of Lodhis. After some time they conquered the fortress which is half built, later on he completed the fortress and also made a temple of Lord Narshimha as his Isht Dev in the fortress.
